I find it hard to believe that another year is almost up and I think about all that has transpired over the past year and boy does it make my head spin.
To go from Nick being unemployed for months and then getting a job, thanks to his ability to be patient (which I am not).
Our children having gone through some tremendous struggles and trying to be the rocks that parents are suppose to be for their kids (which I am not).
Job changes for me and a final chapter to a time when, managing the stress seemed almost impossible (which I am not good at).
A move from my dream home, to an apartment, in a new city, with new friends (and old) and just boxes (I don't like cardboard anymore).
We will step into next week, the end of the 2009 year and I will look back and lift my glass to a job, safety of kids, unstressed work and no cardboard (for at least another year). I will empty the glass and refill it and drink another toast to tears and laughter and another year of living!
