Count Down

I have finally gotten my surgery date and will be working on putting together the finishing pieces of the puzzle for my preop this week and the beginning of next to go onto surgery on Thursday morning next week.  I am so glad to have this part of the process under my belt and to have made the decision and the peace that has come with it. Agonizing is a light weight term to use when describing the turmoil that I found myself in when trying to decide on full or partial.  At one point I was gonna put the choices on pieces of paper and throw them into the air and wait to see which landed up.  Seems funny but it was that difficult to come to the tough wall and scale over it. All along I have been leaning for conservation and when I was told my survival rate does not change with either choice, I came to my peace and had them set the date.  So come Thursday morning I will be heading to surgery at Baptist Hospital in the good hands of my doctors and confident that they will get all of the remaining cancer.  A couple weeks recovery and then onto radiation for 4 weeks.  I will be pumpin weights again in no time at all :-)
