We are training Camrin to NOT touch the DSL/Modem box that controls the TV and Intenet.  It is within reach of the little hands that are just at the 2 foot level.  He is learning very well that it is NOT his box and knows that he is not allowed to mess with it.

Nick and I were "agreeing to disagree" (in counseling terms) the other night and in the heat of the argument, Camrin knew that his grandparents were distracted.  His little hands were fast at work - touching the boxes he knows are off limits.  Comcast needs to redesign them because they have little caps on them that are basically useless to adults, but pretty "nifty" to little hands that can pick them off when necessary.  In the mouth they went!

Just as I turned to look and see what he was into - he was gumming on the cap he had managed to dismantle from the box.  Oh, they may be only 2 feet tall, but they are smart little cookies. It's interesting getting re-used to childproofing the house! Plugs in every outlet, locks on every cabinet. Us old people have to figure out how to get into cabinets! His little hands seem to know just how to work around all of it!  And the fun thing, trying NOT to laugh when he looks at you with those big eyes as if to say, come on Gram, ya gotta laugh.
