A PLAYFUL SORT

I have been in one of those playful sort of moods the past few days. Not sure why but, Nick says he likes when I get this way. I used to say he was the kidder of the family but after being married to one for 31 years, you soon learn how to pull the tricks on the other one.

Yesterday he was busy getting all his tools together for his job that he has to do on Monday and loading them in his truck. He had to make several trips to the basement to his workshop and I was busy stripping the table top in the diningroom. I decided that it would be just too easy to see how much fun I could have by locking him in the basement on his last trip up the stairs.

He is now getting used to the fact that if he sets his coffee cup down (or any drink)and leaves the room, guaranteed when he comes back, it will be gone.

I love putting knots in his socks and stealing his clean underwear when he gets out of the shower.

Today was an absolutely gorgeous day for riding the cycle and as we drove along, I slowly put my arms up on his shoulders, which he knows I sometimes do, but decided to put my hands over his eyes. He just shakes his head at me.

I love being playful. When I am at work, I call it "gonna get my pink slip" kinda days. I recently took a picture of my boss, blew it up larger and put it in a picture of Mark Spitz with the Olympic medal on his neck. My boss keeps thinking it's these other teachers that keep joking with him, but I just sit in the sidelines and chuckle knowing it's me and he hasn't figured it out yet.

Hey, when you get to be my age, you have to do things to keep life jumpin. Nick, I just keep telling him, honey, I learned from the best.
