Meeka

 

This is our new church mascot - Meeka. She is a purebred bulldog. She belongs to a family that attends Shadowlands Tabernacle that we have been blessed to be apart of this church plant here in Blairsville. It is non-denominational and we have been apart of it from day 1.

The building we are using is part of a warehouse and the owner allowed us to build out a sanctuary in the one area and while we were building it this family brought their bulldog named MeekO. He wandered around and made everyone feel welcomed that was swinging a hammer etc. But a few weeks ago MeekO got severly ill and had to be put to sleep. Since then they have gotten this new bulldog puppy and they named her Meeka in memory of Meeko. I finally got to see her today as they brought her to services and of course she had to stay in the car till they were over but we were taking photos for the directory and I was forced to hold her - yeah right. She is sooooo cooooolll. I told Nick, I would have one of them if he'd let me and believe me, I am NOT a dog person. If you would have met Meeko, you would have fallen in love with him and I am sure Meeka is going to be the same when she gets big. Besides, who can resist a puppy with a face like this one.
