Day 2

Things are progressing well for day 2 after surgery. I finally was able to keep food down and rest a little better after night number 1 (not so good night).  Bandages are off, but still experiencing the same stabbing pains as I had in hospital.  I got up and wandered a couple times around the apartment to get some exercise.  Might walk to the mailbox today!
Having only one scar healing this time will make it easier.  The doctor had already taken the sentinel node and four others the first time so he did not have to take anymore.  That was good news.  He thinks he got enough tissue to give pathology clear margins but stated that if they don't come back clear, it was my last chance for preservation.  Hope to know the results in a week.  I am hoping we don't have to go back for round 3!

For now, I am resting and taking it one day at a time.
