We had power cords from electronic items we didn't even know where they were. I figured, we would eventually find the thing they belonged to and "need" that cord or be looking for it and have that deer in the headlight look as to which box it was last seen in. This would also include all of our used cell phones and chargers.
I decided with this final move and cleaning out, I was determined to either dejunk it or put them all in one place where I would be able to say - "Did you look in the "electronics box"? it may be in there!
Recently - our little man - Cam decided that he was going to place his Mom's cell phone (only a few months old) very neatly into the toilet. Hmmmm - a very costly venture for her. Being a single mom - the funds are not there to replace so - into the "electronics box" she went to find a used cell phone from Dad and I and guess what - one worked! Dave Ramsey says "Live like no one else - so you can live like no one else." We are workin pretty hard for that day when we can write to Dave and tell him we are debt free and be able to go to the cell phone store and pay cash for that slam dunked phone! Just not quite there yet.
For now, we will be two technologies behind, no touch screen or credit card zip, just a phone - and life goes on - BUT we have learned how to spend more wisely thanks to Dave and to put down the toilet seat cover when Cam is around!
