Mowing 101

I try and help mowing the lawns we do for extra money now and then. This week we have 3 to do so we scheduled it to accomplish 2 tonight. I was given the option of doing the "Byrd" lawn or the cemetery first. I asked him if he said Burger King or cemetery first? He laughed and we did the cemetery first. In and out of the stones you must be careful to not hit them with the blades. It is alot of weedwacking and I decided to do the riding mower but soon gave up and went to the push mower due to too many curves and turns.

Several blogs back I talked about us getting the "Snapper" from my brother-in-law and it is so much harder to handle than the Poulan. Tonight it proved to be even more difficult with the uneven lawn where there were several times I about threw myself off the seat due to the rocking and uneven terrain. At one point I got going too fast and hit the cement edge. Nick was not able to see me so I managed to figure out on my own (after several tries) how to get it off the cement and around the corner.

It amazes me that I still have two feet left and that no mowing accidents occured during the process.

I laugh too, because Nick always asks at the end of our mowing excursions, Honey, do you like coming and doing this with me? AND MY ANSWER IS ALWAYS NO, but he keeps on asking.
